ABOUT ME

Single, never married. I love to hunt, fish, fly and work on my cabin. I have many friends all over the world, many that I met while traveling in New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Laos, Europe, Turkey and so on. Being retired leaves me with plenty of time to enjoy life more than those years I had to make $$ to pay the piper.

PHILOSOPHY

Be fun, honest, and active. Find a mate to love (still looking) and keep my good friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hosting in 2011. Good friends in New Mexico recommended CS and have been quite active in it for several years. I host several people each summer in Alaska and try to stay with many others each winter if I am traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sometimes it is hard to find a place, but each time I host or surf away from home, it has been a good time. Some better than others of course but I cant remember one bad experience.

Intereses

Summers are for working on my cabin and fishing. Flying has been a passion since the 1970's. Music and guitar are very important as well. Most people who come here do not get to see much of Alaska "off the road". Native villages, the wilderness and so on. I saw an awful lot with my work and now I am ready to add to my international list of places visited.

Música, películas y libros

Name a song prior to 1980 or any movie and I probably have it recorded. I dont play them a lot while at home but I love to take my MP3's and a few DVD's to stay entertained while traveling. I also do most of my book reading at that time.
Music: Rock and Roll from the 50s to 1980. Folk music of the 60's. Country western from the early days to the 60's.
Books: Frederick Forsyth, James Herriot, Grisham, and others.
Movies: Shane, Lonesome Dove, Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate, American Grafiti, and a few hundred more.

Bungee jump, parachute. And I have seen Jimi Hendrix, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Gordon Lightfoot, Iron Butterfly, Ralph Stanley, and Ian Anderson live. (Oh, I guess that is more than the one thing asked for)
