ABOUT ME

I am a calm and reflective person who likes to learn and talk with people. I love watching documentaries, reading and listening to music. I stay phisically active, mainly these days with football and yoga - sometimes I still do some parkour. I don't drink alcohol very often and I am not so much into 'partying', but it depends on the circumstanes, really.

PHILOSOPHY

To expand my field of compassion and understanding.
I want to be healthy and to live a long life. I respect life and try to tread as lightly on the planet as I can - or at least as I am willing to at any given moment. I love seeing flowers and people bloom, either literally or metaphorically, once people make positive changes.

Have hosted maybe 10 times in London, surfed in Japan, Scotland and the Bahamas..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One amazing experience staying in Kyoto, Japan, in a house where ONLY couch surfers live! Like a CS squat, but Shoji owns the place and lets you stay there (with other savvy travellers). Was my first CS experience, so gave me a lot of enthusiasm to continue with this community..

Music: Mostly hip hop from about 1992 onwards. I also like jazz, funk, soul, drum and bass etc. Special mentions: A Tribe Called Quest, Souls Of Mischief, Gang Starr, Wu-Tang, Digable Planets, Task Force, Promoe & Looptroop Rockers, Black Star, Nuthouse, and hundreds of other independent hip hop acts!

Lately, the most amazing thing I've done was spend a few days with my beautiful 9 month old niece! I have made some big changes in my life over the years: went from working in the chemical industry to working at a support worker with adults with mental health issues. Moved from a small town in Norfolk to London in 1999. Left my job and flat in 2011 to go to Costa Rica..
