ABOUT ME

Well i've done a bit of travelling myself.. a lot of europe & some of america & canada. This summer i went to new york for 5 days with my girlfriend after spending 3 brilliant months in san fran. Had a bit of a nightmare in new york though. If you ever go don't go near the hotel Carter in near times square. Spent one night there.. actually i don't wanna talk about it, i'll tell ya about it if ya get to cork! But anyway i would have loved to of known about couch surfing back then rather than pay about $450 for 5 nights in new york. I'm a firm believer in karma so i want to help as many travellers as i can!

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate tv... shit shows that try to suspend my belief in reality piss me off.
But i do like some movies, anything with the mafia... godfathers, scarface, goodfellas... or else a movie with a good story with a great morale like Big Fish.
As for books, i like books with irish humour. Also stories that i can relate to my own life or use as inspiration like The Alchemist.
I really like the old stuff as far as music goes. I really love The Doors. also velvet underground, hendrix, led zeppelin, jefferson airplane. I really enjoy anybody with a good voice like frank sinatra! I've also starting listening to Jacques Brel recently but i'm findng it hard to find stuff by him. I hear a lot of crap on the radio and tv these days that makes me angry! Cant think of many new bands around these days that are going to stand the test of time and be legends. I'm talking about bands like the killers and razorlight. And of course i love irish music, luke kelly, the pogues etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

travelled.. haven't done as much compared to some people i know but the travelling i have done has been unbelievable.. the sights, the people i've met and the learnings i've made will stay with me till i die!

"Irish by luck.. cork by the grace of god!" dont know who said that one but it sums up this great little city of mine. Did i mention that we live only across the river from one of the breweries.. wait till ya get the smell of stout wafting down your throat
