ABOUT ME

¡Hola!
We are a couple of Spaniards who love travelling together and explore the real flavor of each place we visit. We lived in France for 4 years and in California for another 4.
Our best experiences we have lived thanks to local 'guides' and CouchSurfing has proved, so far, to be the best ally for this. During this time we have met wonderful people, so we can't wait to keep meeting more and more and share with them new experiences.

We think of ourselves like considerate guests and hosts. If you stay with us, you'll find a clean, welcoming home to stay. If we stay with you, you won't notice we were there, and will help you the best we can. We can also say we take our time in life and are not too fond of time pressure, so if you are a fast-paced person, please, know we don't do it on purpose... we'll try hard to follow your pace but sometimes we can't just help be ourselves ^^

Regarding food, we don't eat meat and avoid other animal products if possible, but we are quite flexible about eating fish and dairy products if they can't be avoided.

PHILOSOPHY

The world needs more smiles and less angry and unfriendly faces. Please, smile: it is not that hard and you will surely make someone's day a lot better :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our jobs keep us extremely busy, so we'd rather not host (because we like spending time with our guests), but if you host us, we expect spending time with you and meeting each other a bit so that we have a great time together! We will try to help you in the house as time allows.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far we have participated in group events, being the most frequent our wonderful Taco Tuesdays in OC! Almost all our friends there we met through CS and we love it more and more. We had a wonderful experience surfing with the folks in Houston and have traveled around California with great, knowledgeable friends that we met through CS.

兴趣

Languages, photography, diving, hiking, camping, outdoors, environment, bellydancing (this just Irene), salsa, astronomy, animals (specially dolphins and whales), videogames, movies... And compassionate, open-minded people.

Do you know that music that sticks in your head and you just sing over and over again? That one!

Varied fantasy books and novels.

Thriller movies and animation movies (especially Pixar's). Wes Anderson's movies are so good! Baraka
We also love documentaries. A few we recommend: The Cove, Home, Food Inc., Surplus.
We usually stick with a series and watch all episodes in a row. Then we move onto a new one.
Recommendation of travel series: Long Way Round and Long Way Down for some good travel motivation.

We also like some anime and manga like Naruto and One Piece, Death Note, Fairy Tail...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Our first most memorable travel was to the Galapagos Islands. Every natural place is so unique and it was specially exciting for us be near so many animals... It is a unique and VERY special -but delicate- place.

And we recently lived our dream of longterm travel, which has been packed of many memorable experiences and people --hard to summarize in a short paragraph.
