About Me
Hey Folks,
my name is Nele, but as it is the most German name ever, people also call me Nila or Nelly. I´m studying International Relations in Dresden, but love to travel and experience new cultures, societies and settings. I´m curious about new perspectives and love to discuss political issues (on this occasion sorry to my plagued family).
After my school I spent 6 months travelling in South America, what started as a trip in Chile by accident turned into a round trip through Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brasil, Uruguay and Argentina. This experience changed my views and now I have some funny anecdotes to tell.
Currently I´m doing an Erasmus semester in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and fell in love with Irish pubs. In general I like to go out, but I think that quality beats quantity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I first heard about Couchsurfing, I was quite wary. But during a trip to Londonderry/Derry, my friend chanced me to stay with a wonderful woman via Couchsurfing - and I loved it! We had such a nice time exchanging stories and ideas and this convinced me to try out more spots with Couchsurfing. I think that is a great change to escape the international transfer zone some travellers are sometimes caught in hotels or hostels. It is a great oppurtunity not only to see the main tourist attractions, but really get to know the city or country.

What I Can Share with Hosts
First of all - I won´t share my dirt with you. I´m quite tidy and organized and like to leave places as I would like to find them. Besides this, I can tell stories from my earlier trips, my impressions and opinions, especially about politics.
If the setting, your and my plans fit, I would like to spend my time with you, but I am also okay with discovering things in my own. I think, as always, it´s all about communication. But I like to cook and this is often a good starting point for a nice chat.
