Hi! My name is Nellie and I'm from a small island of around 10,000 people. I grew up on the water my entire life and love to be outside and active. Im pretty tough and do crazy shit all the time. I've had many people ask me how I've made it this far in life, and my poor mother probably wishes there were leashes made for adult children... So far, I have been to 18 countries. My favorite place is one I haven't been to yet! My goal in life is to live with intention, compassion, and laughter! I love to learn about new cultures and meet new people :)

Hmmmm if I have learned one thing in this life, it’s that I know absolutely nothing. My interests include pondering, eating, adrenaline thrills, and attempting life as a functioning human. What is being an adult? I also have a pet squirrel. Her name is pearl and I love her :)

My favorite book.. hard to say... I love books and music and movies that can give me spiritual guidance (I am a seeker of all!) I just read Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and loved it. Another go to is the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (Very standard but nonetheless a classic in my opinion!) Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy always brings me some cathartic reading as well. My favorite artist: Cat Stevens and just about anything under the sun that can stay in tune. My favorite movie: Harold and Maude- I can't stand to watch violent movies-unless Quentin Tarantino of course ;).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I was younger it used to be my pride and joy to prove I could shove an entire Burger King hamburger in my mouth. I've gone veggie now, but that doesn't mean I'll stand down for a friendly foodie competition. I also camped on an unrestored section of the Great Wall of China and saw the sunrise at 4:30 in the morning. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life!

Apparently the United States has deemed me suitable to care for others. Im an ER nurse with a minor in global health studies. I've practiced nursing in Sweden and the Philippines so far. While in Sweden I had the chance to work at a refugee clinic. I love to share stories and listen to music. If you play an instrument, I'm guaranteed to be enamored!

If you have any medical questions I can give you my best piece of advice (which will probably result in complete leg amputation-JK I actually know a little). I also like to find dead stuff and preserve it! Rather proud of my dead bug and bone collection! Or I can cook you up some mean southern soul food,, food that will make you say 'wow is it possible for a single meal to give me diabetes?' and I will answer 'why yes, yes it is.'
