Hi, my name is Nelly, a third-year university student studying in Sweden for my exchange. In my leisure time, I love hiking, travelling, reading books and doing any kind of sports. I also love learning new languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year, I am studying in Sweden as part of my exchange year and I would like to discover Sweden through couchsurfing. Besides discovering new places, I also want to meet new people to better understand their culture and habits. Thus, I believe, Couchsurfing is the best way to encounter locals and for a language exchange:) I have recently started to learn Swedish and would like to take up one more Scandinavian language.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer Scandinavian krimi. According to the music genre - I love listening to classic music - myself playing the piano and organ, jazz, pop and from time to time also rock. I like autobiographic movies and serials. My favourite serial is SKAM.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I visited an Asian market in Prague and there I tried a grilled snake and scorpion. Firstly, I thought I was gonna have a headache, however, afterwards, I like it and it tasted like a chicken. Since then I am more open to taste a different kind of meat or food in various forms.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share my culture and language. My country is not that much well-known, thus I would be more than happy to share more information and recommendations for a visit with him or her. We can also practice any languages that we have in common.
