Originally from Canada :) I'm always eager for an adventure and never stopping to find a way to discover something new about this world. That, and a healthy appetite for beer and coffee. After going abroad during undergrad, like most others, I got bit by the travel bug. Meeting people from all over inspired me to focus less on studying and more on enjoying what's out there.

I'm currently doing my doctorate's degree abroad in Norway after finishing my Master's here as well. After being hosted by some awesome people, I've decided to return the favour once more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surf. Host. Laugh. Eat. Drink. Repeat.

It has been so rewarding to be able to stay with locals. It is much different from the typical hostel experience, and I cannot wait for more! Of course, hosting is also fun as I love showing off my city.

Interests

International engagement in all forms, from travelling, to campus involvement and academically through work and studies. I spend my time day dreaming about my travels and where to find the cheapest beer.. and maybe a bit of research on the side. But I'm pretty easy to get along with as long as it's after 10am. I am not a morning person. Be warned! :)

Diving the Great Barrier Reef.
Coachella Music Festival. I can't pick which was more amazing.
Every time I pack my backpack for a trip. The feeling of leaving home for someplace different is addicting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a huge sports junky! I love staying active. I would die for the Vancouver Canucks (NHL Hockey team). That, and I can be a geek and maybe talk about medical genetics if you want me to.

You can also teach me how to properly use chopsticks..I know, the irony.
