About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore life! This Earth, imagination, the arts, practical life skills, anything and everything can be explored and appreciated :)

ABOUT ME

I'm a quirky and passionately curious human being who enjoys learning about other people, how they live their lives and the sorts of experiences that have shaped them into the wonderful people that they are. I want to hear about everyone's travels no matter how near or how far they've gone from home. We're all traveling together.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to learn and explore everything that life has to offer. There are so many wonderful things out in the world for each of us to experience, and I thirst to see as much of it as my human life will allow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My close friends and I have been informally surfing each others' couches for a while now, and am looking forward to expanding this practice to others because it's such a beautiful way of life! I just joined couchsurfing and plan to make some great connections with some great people :) This is a wonderful community and I can't wait to immerse myself in the experience :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed on close friends' couches thus far - we all frequent each others' homes locally since we love each others' company so much! I have also had some wonderful camping experiences with friends - couch surfing just feels like a related (much more comfortable) form of urban camping, to me.

Interests

Sustainability, minimalism, urban farming, veganism, cycling, counterculture and self-expression, expanding knowledge, pushing personal growth, art, real human connections.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading Point Counter Point by Aldous Huxley - I absolutely love his writing style and his radical ideas. I enjoy most foreign films and documentaries, and any music that comes from the heart, people who have their own music to share are magical beings in my eyes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was volunteering in China, I had brought some art supplies with me for the children of the local hostel we were staying at... one day while we were biding time - drawing and playing card games I decided to bring the paints out and the children starting screaming gleefully! They had never seen so many different hues that could be painted with, art supplies are scarce in rural China, and it was a very touching moment for me to see just how joyful and appreciative they were.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook (mostly vegetarian/vegan meals), basic crochet and sewing, I can probably train your dog, too. :)

I'd love to learn about anything relating to living a more sustainable lifestyle, foraging, gathering,self-sufficiency, and any skill related to such.
