I am a 29 year old Software Developer. I worked for Amazon.com as a full stack developer for 4.5 years before quitting to start traveling.

In a lot of ways I feel like I don't fit in with American culture. Everyone is so focused on work that they forget to actually live their lives. The people I have met traveling have a much happier outlook on life.

I feel more at home staying in a hostel or on someones couch than I do in Seattle, and the difference is the people.

About 3 years ago I started going to Burning Man and it changed my outlook on life. I had a hard time continuing to work in corporate America and wanted to do more with my life. I kept going back to Burning Man every year and each year it taught me new things about myself and the people of this world. I am tired of living in a bubble and I want to really experience and educate myself with what the world has to offer.
