I enjoy home projects, something our 120-year-old house has plenty of. I enjoy the local juggling club and studying Spanish. Being new-ish to this area, we're working on exploring the recreation opportunities in NW Arkansas.

My chief hobby is juggling and related arts. I used to do some unicycling, too, but it's been awhile. I enjoy backpacking and canoeing quite a bit. When at home, I enjoy plinking around on the mandolin, studying Spanish, and home projects.

Musica, film e libri

I don't read as much as I'd like to think I do, but some pivotal books through my life have been: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, A History of God, A Short History of Myth, and The Compass of Zen. I enjoy thought-provoking movies like District 9, Primer, and like to chill out with old Eastwood spaghetti westerns from time to time. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic, but tend along folkish and acoustic themes, and lately have included a fair bit of Mexican music to supplement my Spanish studies.

Off the top of my head I'll have to go with the vipassana meditation a few years back. 10 days of complete non-input (not even eye contact among attendees) lends itself to a lot of really in-depth self-discovery and introspection. Great and profound experience.
