Overview
About Me
We’re Nerea and Ángel, 29 and 31 years old, from La Rioja and the Basque Country, Spain. We’ve always been curious about new places and ways of living, and that curiosity is what brought us on a four-month trip across Asia.
We like traveling slowly, staying flexible, and leaving room for unexpected plans. For us, discovering a place means exploring it beyond the highlights and trying to understand everyday life, not just passing through.
We’re open-minded, easygoing, and respectful. We enjoy sharing time with people, but we’re also comfortable giving space when needed. We’re not here to collect countries — we’re here to explore, learn, and experience places as they are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it’s a simple and human way to travel.
Sometimes it’s about sharing time and conversations, sometimes it’s just about a place to rest and recharge, both are fine.
We like the idea of traveling with trust, respect, and openness, and Couchsurfing fits perfectly with that way of moving around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: honestly, a bit of everything. We love discovering new sounds, local music, random recommendations, and genres we didn’t know we liked until someone played them for us.
Movies: films that make you think a bit, thrilles, good stories. We’re always up for movie recommendations.
Books: suspense novels
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We put our “normal life” on pause to travel around Asia for four months.
It’s not a permanent escape, just a conscious break from routine — and so far, it’s been a really good decision.
Teach, Learn, Share
We enjoy exchanging things in a natural way. Sometimes that means teaching a bit of Spanish or sharing a recipe we usually improvise. Other times, it’s about learning how daily life works somewhere else, understanding local habits, or discovering new ways of seeing the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We bring respect, curiosity, and an easygoing attitude. We’re open to sharing a meal, exchanging stories, or simply being good, considerate guests.
We enjoy getting to know new places and learning from the people around us, but we’re also comfortable keeping things simple. Whether we share time together or just a space, we’re happy either way.
