Finding new distractions
Well, I'm pretty much a stereotypical Canadian. I love hockey, poutine, I say "eh" alot but don't normally notice it until others point it out. I snowboard in the Canadian rockies all the time, have faced the cruel realities every year of Canadian winter (walking backwards to school to shield your face from the wind and frostbite is something we Canadians like to call, "Building character"
No single one.

Surfing and hosting
I was skeptical as most were, but amazed to find out it was everything I hoped it would be, and better. I owe so much of the fun and experience I had on that trip to the people who hosted me, and since then have been hosting people back in Edmonton and also in Berlin where I used to live and study. I found that by hosting, the world kind of comes to you. Plus I found when I was showing people my hometown, it made me appreciate where I live even more...
Being active, doing yoga, going out. Also, just trading stories, recipes, eating, siteseeing, learning about history of the cities I'm in as well as the ins and outs of cities that typical tourists don't see.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find these stories come out best when your having a conversation with someone. Ive travelled quite a bit and have some interesting adventures, and would love to swap stories over a couple beers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone about Canada, the 'lesser known' North American country. Beautiful British Columbia, the rocky mountains, my home town of Edmonton, the cultural diversity, the ridiculous, often exaggerated but most often true stereotypes that exist... Igloos, poutine and maple syrup eh!? That's what its all aboot.
