Music: I'm a bit of an indie nut, so I love stuf like the Elephant 6 bands (Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control etc), Elliott Smith, The Zombies, The National, Tom Waits, Beirut, Sonic Youth etc. Also, Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Beatles and some Eastern European gypsy music (Fanfare Ciocarlia, Boban Markovic etc)

Movies: Big fan of Emir Kusturica, Fellini, Lars Von Trier, Scorcese, the Coen Brothers

Books: Murakami, Bukowski, Salinger, Orwell, Wilde, Saramago etc

Here's a little-known fact: I'm officially in the Guinness Book of Records as part of the largest simultaneous coconut-clapping orchestra ever. We were clapping along to Monty Python's 'Always look on the bright side of life', obviously.
