Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
meeting and sharing smiles with great people who are either living in or coming through the Chattanooga area
ABOUT ME
the poll is in and my friends say i am adventurous, goofy, loyal, and honest...sometimes too honest. by that i suppose i am oftentimes blunt. i like to do things, try things, experience. i like to feel the sun on my shoulders, skip in the sunshine and do handstands with friends. i also like to hear what people think and how their minds work. I like to socialize at times and be alone at others. frequently i like to overthink things and randomly i jump right in the freezing ocean...literally and figuratively. i don't know how else to explain what it is i value most...moments of connection with time, place, or person.
PHILOSOPHY
"the earth delights to feel your bare feet" (Gibran) not my words, but a fair summation of my meaning in life

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
as of late i spend the greater part of my time studying and completing assignments for nursing school. daily i spend much time with chelsea, my sweet dog. i like to rock climb and raft down the river when i can, but for now, i am settled with spending what free time i have outdoors with man's best friend.
there is this honesty, this purity, that i see in glimpses in people frequently. be it someone i've known for years or one i've just met, this spirit that catches me and consumes me beyond the physical person. life at its purist perhaps, this is what continues to give life meaning for me and catch my attention. in general smiles, sunshine, thunderstorms, and positivity really keep me on the good side of a day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
FAITH IN ACTION - for as long as i can remember, every meeting with my grandmother has left me grateful for a continued faith in oneself and belief in the good of people, despite any negative collective actions
LOVE IN ACTION - in 2002 i went on my first mission trip to help build a house for a third world family. what has been built now is a decade of deepest love and commonality for a community, for a people, for every man, worldwide.
SURFING WITH DOLPHINS - since 2002 i have forgotten everything else in the world when a curious sea creature swims near me, this non-aquatic creature out past the surf break. my species in general..."the only creature that claims a god, yet behaves like he has none"..out here undifferentiated from the beauty of this world. AWESOME in its fullest.
