ABOUT ME

I come from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. I am very friendly and easy to get a long with. I like all people and tend to make friends with everyone I meet. I am currently living in Tourcoing, France working as a English language assistant and am looking forward to visiting the rest of France and seeing some of Europe. My family is a group of comedians, my aunt is on a comedy show in Canada and my uncle tours Canada and some parts of Europe with his performances. The rest of us just love to laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophies are "Treat people the way you want to be treated."

I live my life to make people laugh, it truly is my favorite thing to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed two couches, one is Strasbourg and one in Zurich and had an amazing time at both places. I can't wait to surf again and get home so I can begin hosting!

Interests

I have many interests, most have to do with being outside. I love hiking and camping. I grew up playing sports like hockey, soccer and tennis and I am interested in any physical activity. Lately I have been doing more running and yoga. I listen to all kinds of music, good music is good music whatever genre! I am interested in issues dealing with the environment, I also enjoy gardening and growing organic vegetables.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music, my playlists are a mixture of everything from hip hop to Edith Piaf. Good music is good music!

Most movies I watch are comedies but I also like thrillers and adventure movies. I tend to watch my favorite movies over and over again like Lord of the Rings and The Count of Monte Cristo.

I am never sure what to read, I finished all of Dan Brown's books and now I am reading Tolkien. My favorite book so far is the Hobbit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was camping throughout Newfoundland I saw some amazing scenery and wildlife. I hiked along the eastern coastline alongside a giant iceberg. It was beautiful, until nighttime when the temperature dropped close to 10 degrees celsius!

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked at a botanical garden for two summers where I learned easy ways how to grow organic vegetables and maintain a garden.

Also I studied economics for the past few years and could help shed light on any current economic situation.
