Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To successfully make the transition to adulthood, whatever that is.
ABOUT ME
A former Germanist reminding myself that I was a Germanist and trying to recharge in Germany while discovering the next part of my journey, the one where I get to be a theatre director in New York, which is not Germany, sadly.
PHILOSOPHY
I am not a tourist. I try to see when I look and I try to give myself the time to give everything a good long look.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
First couch in hand, I'm looking to spread the word and help as many travelers as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just caught one couch so far, looking forward to many more as both guest and host (eventually!)
Interessi
I am interested in culture and it's various expressions, especially architecture, theatre, and film. I consume news with abandon. And when I'm more connected, I follow as many sports as my conscience will let me.

Musica, film e libri
Current favorite movies include, but are not limited to, The Big Lebowski, Before Sunset, Pleasantville, Michael Clayton, Zombieland, The Truman Show, Hot Fuzz, Let the Right One In, The A-Team, Miller's Crossing, Once, and The Fifth Element.
As for music, Regina Spektor, Ok Go (esp. the marching band version of This Too Shall Pass), Iron and Wine, U2, Emmylou Harris, Coldplay, and Wilco are always finding their way onto my iPod.
There are so many books. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia, If on a winter's night a traveler, The Walking Dead, Fables, and The Goon (comic books all, but still, books), Kierkegaard, G.K. Chesterton, anything whatsoever by Malcolm Gladwell (esp. Outliers and What the Dog Saw), I read Bill Simmons regularly, and I just finished reading The Informant, Lords of Finance, and The Omnivore's Dilemma. I read the Economist so consistently that it might as well be one book that constantly evolves and keeps getting longer and longer.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I am currently doing the most amazing thing I've ever done, which is to just take off for six weeks and experience as much of possible of places I remember (Berlin and Munich) and places I've never been (Amsterdam, Brussels and some other city TBD). Hoping this includes a couch!
