i've come to learn that i am a social person. thus, i would rather stay with someone, or at a hostel, than get a quiet little room to myself.
i like to hear the crazy shit people have done and i like to give my stories in return, if they relate.
i appreciate the hospitality of hosts towards their Gypsy guests. it's a shining hope in this world of distance, both to travel and between people.

decided 2 weeks out, to fly to the top of Alaska to see Polar Bears for 10 days. worked as a labourer at a shanty hotel and saw beara almost everyday, but was torn inside by the misguided consumption and expulsion of people who, i think, had not been included in conversations about waste management.
there is no way to ship rubbish off that island.
