Overview
About Me
I am a Canadian student on exchange in Lyon, France. I am 22 years old and studying Economics and French at the University of Guelph back in Canada.
The best part about traveling for me is the opportunity to see another culture as though as I was a local. I am passionately curious about every aspect, including language, geography, cuisine, music (especially) and most of all the people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am very intrigued by the possibility of making new friends on the road, and having new and interesting places to stay. In my experience, knowing a native/local from the area is integral in learning about the culture of the place. Plus, locals know all the real hidden jewels of their country, and give much better advice than anything on Trip Advisor!
I hope to make lasting friendships through Couchsurfing, with the possibility of hosting others when I get back to Canada.
Interests
I love traveling (obviously) and try to get out and about every weekend since I do not have very long in Europe. I also enjoy cooking, especially learning local cuisines from the places I visit. I love playing any sport I can and am very passionate about music; I listen to many different genres and I play the guitar and sing on occasion as well.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love rock, especially The Who, The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. I also really love Tame Impala, and other more psychedelic music. Recently I have started listening to a lot of house and trap music, and really want to explore this genre further.
I dont watch a ton of television, but some of my favorite shows are Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders and Rick and Morty.
I read quite a lot, and my intereests in books is pretty diverse. Some of my favorite books are the Game of Thrones, Long Walk to Freedom and the His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Gone on exchange; it has been the funnest 8 months of my life, and entirely changed me for the better! I am confident in speking French, and hae made lifelong friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am up to date with world events, and I study economics so I could teach about that (boring, I know).
I really enjoy cooking and listening to music in my spare time, or else just hanging out with my firends,
One thing I would love to learn is the ability to code. I am also intrigued about learning local cuisines!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am an enthusiastic person, and am up for anything! Perhaps if you would like to improve English or French, or would like to more about Canada. I am outgoing, fun, funny (I've heard anyway) and am passionate about many things. Above all, I hope to share some cool experiences with my host.
