About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Absorbing knowledge from people from all the corners of the planet and getting to know myself better through the eyes of the world

ABOUT ME

What can I say about me? I've always been interested in exploring and sharing knowledge and learning new things, that's why I want to become a researcher and a teacher in the future.
I used to be shy, but as a grown-up I've learnt to enjoy meeting new people, which brings us to my recently discovered interest in travelling.
I'm outgoing and love to have fun in a healthy way. I don't drink nor smoke, but I don't mind people doing it around as long as they are respectful and responsible about it.

Basically that's all, glaub ich...

PHILOSOPHY

That's something to discuss in person ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to contribute with my personal experience as humbly as possible and give at least as much as I get back from the Couchsurfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've made quite a few meaningful bonds through Couchsurfing, and hopefully there are more to come :)

Interests

I really like having thousands of hobbies: drawing, reading (specially graphic novels), writing, playing pen and paper RPGs, learning new languages, singing (mostly when no one is looking), playing the guitar (at least I try to!) and more recently the ukelele, listening to good music (specially live), going out and playing table football!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Any able to make me deeply feel, wildly laugh or think for a while, like Arrival, Paprika, Lost in traslation, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Murder by death, Stranger than fiction, and a long etcetera.
Music: Anything that gives me goose bumps when I listen to it, but mostly alternative and rock. I wouldn't be able to name a favorite band though, there are too many...
Books: If it keeps me up all night, I'll love it. I specially like science fiction and graphic novels, Watchmen being my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once helped an orang-utan pick the broken, crunched up pieces of a wooden object that she had accidentally started to eat directly from her mouth. It was her who approached me asking for the help and I was happy to oblige. I have more primate stories, so if you are interested, do not hesitate to ask!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have studied psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy, and as a researcher my area of interest is evolution. I can spend hours talking about the human mind, and how it got to be what it is today over the course of gazillions of years. I would really like to learn more about other sciences, like physics or biology. Or anything that differs from what I know about, really.
Apart from that, there are two things that I specially like: languages and music (although any kind of art could be included here too). I would love to share what I know and learn as much as I can about them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I make a mean Spanish omelette and I am fairly good at baking vegan treats.

Lots of stories, both real (i.e.: anecdotes with primates as mentioned above), or fictional (i.e. :all the quests and adventures I've gone through with my Dungeons and Dragons character and my fellowship).

I can show you how to play the ukelele in five minutes :)
