O mnie

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to at least 100 countries in my lifetime. Gigantic mission but I'm already at 31! :)

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people, trying new things and seeing new places. I like laughing and having deep and meaningful chats about stuff. I don't take myself too seriously and I get stupidly excited at the smallest of things.

PHILOSOPHY

Travelling is just as much about the people you meet as the places you see.

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't offer a couch at the moment but would gladly meet up for a coffee or drink or help show someone around my lovely home city :)
I'm attempting to save up for another trip so hope to experience couch surfing on my next adventure!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as of yet but looking forward to some in the future!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

I don't ever seem to have the time to watch as many films as I'd like but a few of my favourites are Fight Club, Terminator 2, Amores Perros and my guilty pleasures are Footloose and, due to an unhealthy fascination with Prince, Purple Rain.

I love nearly all types of music; acoustic, alternative, ambien, drum n bass, dubstep, electro, funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, industrial, latin, metal, techno (ok, now I'm just listing genres from my itunes) but mostly music I can dance to and almost never music that you hear on the radio, which may make me a music snob but there you have it. I have agonised over it but there is no way I could choose my all time favourite band/dj etc but I always enjoy listening to Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Aphex Twin,Jimi Hendrix,Joy Division, Led Zeppelin, Massive Attack, Bjork, My Bloody Valentine, PJ Harvey, Rufus Wainwright, Radiohead, TV on the Radio, Pearl Jam, Battles, Beastie Boys, Parliament, Blur, Kate Bush, Prince, DFA 1979, Jeff Buckley, The Knife, Chemical Brothers, Fleetwood Mac and more recently Apparat, Caribou, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Burial, Four Tet, Bon Iver, Gold Panda, Saul Williams. This list is going on forever so I'm gonna stop there, you get the gist, I like music :)

My all time favourite book is a backpacker classic Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, I laughed, I cried but mostly I was totally in awe by what he endured, achieved and experienced.

I play in a brazilian percussion band, though I'm not as good a player as I'd like, but I will gladly share what I can. Also if I'm in the right mood I can be convinced to sing a tune or two
