ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty easy-going person most of the time. I like to laugh off life's lows and ride out the highs. I have a slightly sarcastic sense of humour and tend to take the piss a lot. Other than that I'm alright to hang around with.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way."

'Imagine the world devoid of human life, inhabited only by plants and animals. Would it still have a past and future? Could we still speak of time in any meaningful way? The question "What time is it?" or "What's the date today?" - if anybody were there to ask it - would be quite meaningless. The oak tree or the eagle would be bemused by such a question. "What time?" they would ask. "Well, of course, its's now. The time is now. What else is there?"

I'm in college studying Outdoor Education. We do kayaking, windsurfing, rock-climbing and sailing, which basically means we just have fun all the time. I read a lot and like to play.

I'm interested in a fair bit, the world, the stars the meaning of life and all that jazz. I want to get out there and explore. The tv, the internet, the written word, its no longer enough. First hand all the way... but while I can't do that I want it to come to me, so come stay on my couch.

I read a lot of books, mostly autobiographies and books about music. Some of my favourites are; On The Road, The Power of Now, Into the Wild, Animal Farm, Howard Marks, and Anthony Kiedis.

I'm into music too, who isn't? Kings of Leon, Fleet Foxes, Iron and Wine, The Devil Makes Three, Vampire Weekend, Angus and Julia Stone, The Band, Kasabian, Bon Iver, Kings of convenience, The xx, Naked and Famous, Tired Pony, The Cat Empire. Thats them, bit of everything really. Except dubstep, never dubstep.

I can teach you how to crochet beanie hats too... but then again, so can youtube.
