I'm a student in the US. I just finished a study abroad program in France and I have some time to travel before I head home. I would love to meet people and not just sightsee

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm extremely new to couchsurfing. I joined because one of my friends from school talked about all of the great experiences she had with the people who hosted her throughout her travels. Traveling with friends and family can be a lot of sightseeing, going to museums, and eating food, which are all great, but I feel like I would love the chance to meet people and talk about a city, place, country from their point of view. Traveling should be more of a cultural exchange, or a way to meet people who are different from yourself.

I love talking to people and hearing their stories!

I love working with my hands. I've learned how to make stained glass pieces, sew, and knit. I think languages are interested and anywhere I go, I like to at least try to speak a bit of the language. I feel like I got lucky/unlucky by having english as my first language, and I would love the chance to learn small phrases or words wherever I go. Dancing is amazing, I am terrible at the moves but I love moving to the beat.

I love most superhero movies, action, and comedies.

I would recommend everybody to watch Pan's Labyrinth and Spirited Away both are gorgeous and I can't get enough of them.

As for music my tastes are all over the place and I try to give an genres and artists a listen.

Little Dragon is absolutely my favorite band.

I really enjoy reading, I'm getting into the fantasy and sci-fi stuff. I always love recommendations!

Learn - I feel like there is an opportunity to learn something when you talk to a new person. Everybody has something to say! I also really want to practice my Spanish. I love the language and need to spend more time hearing and speaking it

I'm not the best cook, but I'll try to bring little gifts from other travels! My parents instilled in my to try and bring gifts when you go to someone's house and it's a habit I cannot get rid of >.
