ABOUT ME

I am a curious thing, always reading up on some subject be it physics, photography or the curious benefits of forefoot running. I love learning new stuff.

My friends are always mocking me for running whenever I am going somwhere. I very much enjoy running and while I can be very patient, I do not have the patience for walking.

I believe my friends would describe me as open and easygoing, though I also have a introverted side. I love meeting new people, especially foreigners so that I can practice my english and german ( and soon, my French! ).

PHILOSOPHY

I observe the world and try to put into system. A rewarding and utterly futile endeavour!

I also subscribe to Freamon's take on life - "It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come". You can't force things to go according to plan, so you might as well enjoy its twists and turns :)

I've always had a keen eye for details when out and about - always looking for a nice angle for a photo. Now that I've finally gotten my first camera I bring it everywhere I go.

Spending way too much time staring into my computer screen I really enjoy the times I take some time off to play the recorder or my beloved swedish bagpipe. I love a good concert and universally appreciate music of any genre - especially if it sets my body in motion.

Also: telemark downhill & skiing, hiking, climbing.

Films... so many favourites, Children of Men and the Eternal Sunhine of the Spotless Mind stands out. Kubrik, Lynch and Andrea Arnold are some favourite directors of mine.

If you're into scifi you need to give Kim Stanley Robinson a chance ( Mars trilogy! ).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Having volunteered for a student festival for nearly two years, I was struck by sheer awe when the opening ceremony finally came and one could see what the combined effort of hundreds of volunteers can achieve. The period leading up to the festival has been the most exhausting, exhilerating, scary and fun experience I've had as of yet.

I live quite far north, not far from the arctic circle. During the darker months of the year I stop in my tracks just staring at the sky with its beautiful display of colours.
