About Me

I'm a pretty chill guy who likes to engage company and hear their life stories. Small talk is nice... maybe necessary, but it's a lot more fun when we can get past it (an old podcast sold me on the idea https://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/17/fashion/dating-the-end-of-small-talk.html ... it works for new friends too). I'm genuinely curious on peoples views and how they develop their opinions, while trying never to judge. I say try because I think being inclusive is better & I'll try to sell you on it.

I'm not into being a pretentious traveler... I'm up for whatever adventure presents itself.

I love food. Obvi eating it, but also discussing/debating it & strategizing my next meal. Since my time in this Earth is limited, I'm relentlessly in search for a better meal or a new food experience. I'm usually the guy who is totally willing to travel further for marginally better food.

Beer is my drink of choice. Same rules apply. My next beer is hopefully one I've yet to try. If you can't find me, start with surrounding breweries.

I also love the outdoors and most of my vacations center around it. Feel free to hit me up for any tips on hiking in the SW (US).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet some cool people and experience new destinations with the help of a local. I'd also like to give back to the community by sharing my condo or giving tips to travelers visiting socal.
