À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Create poetry and music, meet beautiful people, enjoy life and surround others with positivity

ABOUT ME

Artistic, musical, introspective, philosophical, crazy enough, intelligent, funny, well rounded, very open minded, selfless, at peace, poetic, adventorous, left-handed, resourceful, naturalistic, individualistic, optimistic, hard-working

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the moment. Don't let the environment distract you from your sense of emotion. Be optimistic even in bad situations, know that it will cultivate a greater sense of awarness within you. Challenge yourself every day to learn something new. Have clear goals and strive to meet them. Be clear and consequential. Be courageous, if you are not many great accidents, coincidences and opportunities may quickly pass you by. Remember the worst times of your life make you stronger and allow you to enjoy the good times much more. Never forget your friends even if they forget you. Never forget your family because they wont forget you. Be free. Be peaceful but most of all be yourself.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I was walking home from work at 11:30 at night near the North side, a part of Kalamazoo known to be quite dangerous. I was walking in front of a huge art studio warehouse called the Park Trades Center when in the street light in front of me 2 large people and 2 small people appeared on the corner of the intersection.

When I walked closer a man came into focus looking at his phone, his wife on the right and two small people, probably their children, sat on the curb behind them. As I crossed the road I asked, "Is everything ok?"

The man informed me with a thick accent that they were looking for a hotel. I searched for it on my phone and found that it was one city to the south away. Thus, I insisted that they come to my home, only 4 blocks away, for the evening and wait until the morning when I could direct them to their hotel room.

After a bit of conversation I learned that he had brought his wife and 2 girls to America so that he could pursue his ph.d in education technology. They drove 8 hours from their home to the capital of Tajikistan, flew to Moscow, flew to Amsterdam, flew to Atlanta flew to Chicago took a bus to Kalamazoo and 3 1/2 days later were stranded late one night in Kalamazoo when they miraculously met me.

As we walked we talked about his purpose here. I continued to try to engage the others in the conversation but it became clear that they did not understand me. Smiles and nods are a clear indicator. Thus I kept asking him questions to ask them to let me carry their bags. I gave up and just kept talking to Ibrahim about his life.

Everyone tired when we arrived at my home. I leant them my room and bed for the evening and offered the girls some Michigan blueberries believing it was something that couldn't go untasted upon arrival here. They slept, we left at 7:30 to get them to the bus station and they got home safe. As of 11/27/2015 I will be working at the same elementary school his kids learn at.
