Overview
About Me
Hi!
This 'about me' is a work in progress, but overall, I'm generally enthusiastic, kind, reliable, and good-natured. I love yoga, art, gardening, and making music. I'm also learning how to code in JavaScript. When I'm not at work i'm working on my personal goals and connecting with my community.
I live in a community house in Portland, Oregon, which acts as a container for mindfulness & sustainability. It has a restorative/regenerative feel with mature & kind adults. If you are interested in staying with us, we can offer a 'full' size foam mattress with blankets and pillows, or a plush couch, and probably an assorted breakfast. So, welcome, and thanks for visiting my page! Let me know if we can help you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I have been meaning to travel a bit more for a number of years, but I get caught up on the price of traveling. I moved from Florida to Oregon last year, a vision come true, and now that I am in a place to open our doors to couch surfers, I feel an equal reprocrocity to be a part of this site. As far as why I am on this site, I would like to be more adventurous and explore other cities in about a 300 mile radius as I am still relatively new to the Northwest. I would love to get a real sense of what these cities are like from locals, so that I can get a broader sense of how the Northwest is in its fullness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saved for a year and moved across the country with 3 bags, without a job [I currently now have a job], and not really knowing anyone. I landed in an awesome house with a cool community of people, and I feel really strong now that i've done this. I know, now, that I could do it again, if I wanted.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga! Let me help you with your alignment. I also would love to share color theory or paint with you, or we could make some music! If you wanted, you could help me in our garden plant seeds or weed or who knows what. I'd be interested in knowing more about musical theory on piano and on the guitar, i'd be interested in hearing about a book that pretty much changed your life, or perhaps a perspective that you find fresh and invigorating.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a 'full' sized foam mattress (this would be on the floor -- but it's fairly soft) with blankets and pillows. Our house is naturally pretty warm without heating, because we lucked out in having excellent insulation from our wonderful landlord. If this doesn't sound comfortable we also have a long couch in our living room that you are most welcome to sleep on. Depending on your diet, we could more than likely offer you breakfast, depending on the assortment of what we have around the house, when you stay over. We can share enthusiasm, grace, and kindness in a safe and warm home.
