About Me

I try to be the change I want to see in the world by accepting each individual personality as an unique part of the whole and by just doing what I know is right. I'm pretty laid back and open-minded about most anything and like having deep discussions about the important things in life, like porters or IPA's? and what would happen to time if we went the speed of light? (or politics, I guess). I try not to be an over consumer of material things and love seeing new places and happy faces. Let's have some adventures while we're young!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before I signed up and read some profiles and references I was just looking for a place to crash on my way to Colorado from Washington.
But afterwards I realized how amazing of a community this couchsurfing thing is and am excited to meet the people that make it work.

Interests

I'm an avid hiker and backpacker and have a healthy obsession with nature. I can't keep away! Mountain biking and snowboarding are my adrenaline fixes while gardening, cooking, and learning about sustainable living and farming are my more calming hobbies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favorite music off the top of my head: The Eagles, Jack Johnson, The Allman Brothers Band, Slightly Stoopid, 90's (Nostalgia), CCR, Rise Against, Foo Fighters, and local bands are always fun.
Documentaries are definitely my thing, "Food Matters" is what started me on this food, farming, and sustainability journey I've been on.
I usually read non-fiction about farming or foraging and such.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise from the top of a Colorado "14er"

Teach, Learn, Share

Building soil could be the simplest way to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere!
I'm always open to learn about new things and ways of living and am more than willing to share my experiences with anyone who's interested.
Recently, hemp farming and CBD extraction have really caught my attention. I'd love to learn more!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Organic gardening knowledge
Stories
An open mind
A beer perhaps
Some canned goodies :)
