About Me

I grew up in Chicago, moved to California for college, and plan to go on to medical school after graduating. I consider myself a very open-minded person and love listening to people's stories, ambitions, and concerns. I am always down for adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to grow as a person is to put yourself in unfamiliar situations, and so I want to see as many places and meet as many people as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much all types of music, but the kinds I listen to most often are hip hop and alternative/indie rock. Like all people, I also love the old stuff like the Beatles, the Who, the Rolling Stones, etc. I have seen a fair amount of movies, my favorites being those of Quentin Tarantino and of Christopher Nolan. I will watch (and love) anything with Samuel L. Jackson. I regret saying I haven't read too much of a single author in particular, but for any Hemingway fans I always enjoy discussing my hometown hero.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarded in the Dolomites wearing only jean shorts and a flannel shirt.
Did a lap around the island of Sicily on a scooter by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Between receiving my bachelor's degree and medical school, I hope to teach in some capacity for two years or so. I think teaching is a truly unique opportunity to have a significant impact on a person's life, and I would like to be able to set kids on the right trajectory.

I am always open to learning new things, complexity isn't an issue as long as the teacher is patient enough :)

I would love to share my experiences with anyone who would listen, however at 21 years old, they are few compared to the lives of others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendly conversation, a good sense of humor, and, in my opinion, an unmatched willingness to try new things.
