I have been travelling for the past 2 years, working along the way to finance my lifestyle.

I have always had a passion for travelling but up until 2015 I only entertained it via 'extended holidays' or city breaks, which was great but in the end, it just inspired me to want more when I seen people travelling. So I did, I saved up, quit and here I am.

I love meeting people and as cliche as it is; I find it's the people who we meet who make our experiences more over than the destinations.

Currently teaching English in Java, Indonesia. Really enjoying emerging into a culture very far from what I know at the moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new similar minded locals in areas of the world where it is so easy to be a 'tourist'. I genuinely want to gain real experiences of the places I am travelling. I have changed my travel style significantly recently and I am really enjoying the slower travel lifestyle.

As you'll see, I created this account a few years back but haven't been active at all really, the reason being my travel was much more fast paced in the past and then when I stopped it was generally to work and save money to continue. It didn't feel like that would complement Couchsurfing or allow me to fully appreciate what it is about, which I guess is embracing others lives and learning from each other(?). Now, it feels like the right time.
