Yo! My name is Nick and I'm a 20 year old American geology student. I grew up in Seattle and attend Tufts University in Boston. Before starting college, I took a gap year to explore my passion for travel and the outdoors. I backpacked glaciers in Alaska, trekked the Himalayas, taught English in Thailand, hitchhiked down the spine of Italy, and hiked the Scottish Highlands for a total of 8 months away from home. I'm pumped to be leading backpacking and surfing trips this summer in
California! But beforehand, I'll be spending a month in Iceland hitchhiking around and looking at rocks! Let's go!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because when I travel, I like to immerse myself in a place and really get a sense for how people there live. Couchsurfing is an awesome way to get away from tourist traps and see what's actually worth seeing. Not to mention it's an easy way to make great friends in faraway places!
