My wife and I farmed and fished our way through Alaska for five weeks a few summers ago. We connected with homesteaders in Homer, AK through the WWOOF program. After two weeks of volunteering on a farm in Homer, I worked on a commercial fishing boat for three weeks in Sitka, AK. Easily the best trip of our lives.
