I am a friendly alternative sports enthusiast from Portland OR, and I like to travel for my favorite sport, Freestyle Footbag. I am one of the top players in the United States and I travel worldwide to attend competitions and events. Some of the time I can find sponsorship that covers all my travel expenses, but when I cannot find the funding I try staying with local players or with couch surfers. The Footbag community is great because we host people we have never met before when they travel to a tournament nearby, so I have lots of experience staying with and hosting strangers

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to host people, and I like to travel. I feel the best way to get to know any area is to skip the tourist sites and get to know the locals and where they go. I am attending the World Footbag Championships this year, held in Copenhagen, and I have yet to find a place to stay before and after the event, though I did manage to find sponsorship for the hotel during the event. I created this profile to find some cool locals to hang with while I stay in Copenhagen. I will most likely be street preforming and traveling around the city during the day, but I will need a place to crash at night.

Too many to list for sure. I like any good music, which I believe there are good songs and artists from any given genre. I like comedy and action movies, also thought provoking documentaries and TED talks. Any books by Brandon Sanderson, books about enlightenment, yoga, and Buddhism.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and learn about Yoga. I enjoy teaching people the basics of Juggling and Footbag. I like sharing good food and beer with people, and also sharing a good time hanging out

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be more than happy to share a morning or evening yoga practice. I hand make footbags, so I could give you one for letting me stay with you, or we could find some other form of compensation or other things to share :)
