Hey there! :) I'm an austrian student, living in Vienna, born in the Netherlands. I love to go backpacking, travelling lite, going slow enough to take it all in. When I want to cover more ground I take my motorcycle and go wherever the roads take me. Some of my hobbies (of which I have far too many) include photography, climbing and dancing. But most of all I like to spend time with people.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Vienna as a city and Austria in general with the alps is beautiful and I love it here, but still I long to see ever more. Since I like to really dive into a culture completely when I'm visiting other countries I always try to meet local people. I consider myself rather social and open minded, and have had the best experiences when I was not in search of something in particular, but just let myself sink into the occasion at hand. Couchsurfing is ideal for that and also lightens the financial burden to be substituted by new-made friends.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

We were hiking the Camino de Santiago in Austria through the mountains. It rained all day and our body was unable to go one step further when we finally made camp that day. But the pain was soon forgotten when we got our meal cooked. We ate like kings that evening, even though it was just rice...nothing is worth more than your own, hard earned achievements. The next morning we got up at 4am to climb the mountain in the light of the rising sun. It was a feeling of true awakening, the memory of it still gives me energy.
