I love listening to and playing music, especially music from different cultures! I play the guitar, mandolin, banjo, and melodica and am not afraid to sing badly. I'm also a huge video game and sci-fi/fantasy nerd, so if you want to debate about transhumanism or discuss the history of Middle Earth, I'm your guy.

Additionally, I love the outdoors and camping/backpacking. My long term goal is to hike the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and Te Araroa.

Absolutely love LOTR and all manner of Tolkien works. Also love the Dune series. I've recently been reading some historical fiction (ie, The Revenant) and investigative journalism type books. Im also a big fan ofTom Wolfe.

As far as music goes, I'm really into post-rock and Appalachian folk music/bluegrass. Top artists are Cloud Cult, Sigur Ros, Avett Brothers, Okkervil River, and Tallest Man On Earth.

I drove across the entire United States and back again, camping out under the stars the whole way. We hiked the Grand Canyon and visited almost every state in the continental US!

Hiked the West Highland Way in Scotland! Absolutely 10/10.
