Overview
About Me
I am 25 years young and trying to see as much of the world as I can. I am fun, friendly, and very easy to get a long with. I enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life and hearing there stories, always looking to learn new things and find new experiences to create life-long memories. I love to cook and discover new tastes and dishes from places I stay and people I meet who also like to cook. I have been to college and attained a HNC in Electrical Engineering, worked in the Energy sector as a utility Power Line Technician, also in Construction, and various positions in Hospitality ranging from the kitchen, table waiting, and bartending. I have been travelling and living in different places for the last 2 years, having stayed in different places across North America like New York City, Toronto, Collingwood, Halifax, Prince Edward Island. I am now back in the UK and trying to travel to as many places in England as possible, before heading to Europe to travel there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because I am travelling on a low budget and trying to see as many cities and places as possible by spending as little as possible. I also feel that it is a great way to meet local people and get a greater sense of what places are like without being sucked into the usual tourist traps and attractions that most people succumb to whilst travelling.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all types of music and will happily sit and listen to anything, maybe not death metal. I love cinema and will watch most films, I enjoy watching old films too as I feel they give me a sense of what other eras where like. I like to read also and will read mostly anything as long as it is well written and not a Jane Austen novel.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Whilst in Toronto one of my previous jobs was as a high-rise window cleaner. This was an exciting and exhilarating position that provided rare and breath-taking views of Toronto that few people get to see.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Delightful company, witty banter, amazing cooking ranging from delicious pasta dishes to traditional Scottish cuisine (not haggis), and I can also make great cocktails.
