ABOUT ME

I just finished college in Pittsburgh (BS in Biology with a chem and art minor). I'm now at grad school in NYC.

I enjoy all kinds of art, though right now I have set up a metal shop in my basement and am focused on small metal sculptures (copper and brass) and jewelry.

I also love nature. I think in my ideal future there is a small house with a big garden, a beehive, and a chicken coop. Sounds good to me.

I'm new to NY. I have a roommate, so I'm not sure how that will work as far as hosting goes, but I hope to go to some events to meet people and explore the city.

The hive is maintained entirely by female worker bees. The male drone bees only purpose is to mate. In the winter, when the hive is not growing and conservation is important, the drones are kicked out of the hive and left to freeze.
