CURRENT MISSION

After being a medical test engineer in Holland, a roofer in New Zealand, an English teacher in Vietnam it is time for something new.
Mission succeeded: become a professional massage therapist in Bali. Something I've always wanted to do and I am very fortunate I can make this happen for myself. In Bali I'm attending a school where I will master several kinds of massage therapies.

I've got my live in order; got a nice house, a good job, a loving partner, I'm healthy and strong and my next mission is to become financial independent through property investing. I have just started this new mission but I am very excited.

ABOUT ME

I would consider myself a calm and relaxed person. I'm easygoing and don't have much worries. I take life as it is and respect every person.
I like to do exciting and adventures things and make the most out of my life while I still can.

Sometimes I can be a bit quiet towards strangers and don't take this personal, sometimes it just takes a little bit longer to get to know me but if you do get to know me better you'll see I'm a genuine nice guy and I like to be there as much as I can for other people.

I enjoy sporting alot and have been a gymnast for about 15 years. Besides being a gymnast I also do bootcamp and personal outdoor training. Especially when the sun is shining I like to do my workout outside. The fresh air in the woods always improves my results positively!

Another one of my hobbies is learning to speak, write and understand Chinese. I have the desire to work (for at least a few years) in China. ---> Scratch that last sentence, the dream has changed to Indonesia (the country of my current partner).

Other then this my characteristics are; easygoing, open minded, problem solver, active, handy, listener, self-disciplined, persistant, commited, hard working, friendly and trustworthy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I met a few people on CS and I only have good experiences. It's a great way to meet fellow travelers and in the future I hope to get more experience in surfing and hosting via this way. So far I only encountered nice and good people on CS.

Interessen

I enjoy traveling and like to see much of the world. My job as an engineer allows me to travel quite alot. If it would be up to me I traveled across the whole world and visited at least 80% of all the countries before my retirement.
I like sporting a lot and I'm a very active person always seeking for some adventure and excitement.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

An internship and working in China for 9 months. This gave me the oppertunity to really get to know China and the Chinese people; it's a great country and the people are very nice, humble and friendly.

Teaching children in Hanoi (Vietnam). It's a whole new and exciting experience way out of my comfort zone.

Traveling through New Zealand for 1 year on a motorbike! The south island on the bike was AMAZING!!

Flying an airplane.. one of the best things I've ever done. I definitely hope to get my own little plane one day. It's truly amazing how free and alive you feel in the plane high in the air.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I am always interested in learning new things and learn from other people. Life is full of learning and it's something you will continue to do until your last breath.

My next mission is to teach English in Vietnam and China. Something I want to do for a long time already.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

I wish I could cook or sing for my hosts but I don't want to get people sick or deaf so that won't be a good idea.
Instead I can provide good times and interesting travel stories. I also enjoy going out and show my guest around the area.
