Ahoy! I am a recent uni dropout who is running off to see the world. Please be my guide. I'm taking this trip on a whim and excited to see what happens.

I love learning about culture and nature (geography, anthropology, environmental science etc). Love an art gallery as much as a good day hike. If I could do only one thing in life it would be eat. I love music, markets and night life.

I have only ever traveled for study related field trips, so I am looking forward to traveling for pure adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want my travel experiences to have a good mix of time spent with locals and fellow travelers.

It's my first time using couchsurfing and I'm hoping I can connect with people who can show me how to make the most of my time in their home city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Anything by J.D. Salinger. Would strongly recommend the Australian author Helen Garner. Currently reading works by Carson McCullers.

Films - A Clockwork Orange and Francis Ha are my top two.

Music - I love anything that is jazz, soul, funk, blues or disco.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The community I stayed with in Timor-Leste welcomed us to their village with a chicken sacrifice ritual - it was a one of a kind experience. Also the glacier walk at Fox glacier in New Zealand was unforgettable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught myself to juggle and am keen to share this skill with any willing students. I can also complete two-thirds of a rubics cube (still learning the final steps).

Less interesting but possibly useful, I use Microsoft Excel a lot for work and am happy to pass on a few tips and tricks, hit me up for a nested IF function.

I am a good cook as well as a clean and friendly guest.
