We are a newly married couple and rather than settling down to a house and family straight away we decided to travel the world indefinitely.
We want to experience the world, see the sights, meet the people, eat the food and climb the rocks!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point in time we are just surfers (as we have no permanent address) but we will also be happy to meet new people for a drink, or a climb!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to this and yet to have any experiences, but we're excited to get started!

Interests

We're both very active and enjoy most outdoor activities but especially we really enjoy rock climbing. We're also quite interested in languages and really enjoy learning languages when we visit new countries.
Otherwise, Nick enjoys gymnastics snowboarding and scuba diving and Kate is very into food, cooking it and eating it, especially foods of different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: we have very different tastes. Nick likes existential,sci-fi, fantasy, and is a massive lord of the rings nerd. Kate likes comedys, war films and quirky movies.
Music: we both like Indie, Asutralian Hip-Hop and alternative rock. Old stuff, the beatles, Cat Stevens, etc etc Kate also likes jazz, blues and rhythm much to Nicks dismay! We're pretty easy going with it all, as long as its not hard core shouting stuff or hours of country.
Books: For Nick its Lord of the Rings, at the moment anything by Robert Jordan.　For Kate its Harry Potter, anything by Wilbur smith and most crime type novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Our decision to travel for such a long period is probably the most amazing thing we have done and has lead us to see some amazing things.
The most recent amazing thing we have seen would be walking through the clouds to come to a snow covered Annapurna Base camp, Nepal on New Years Day!

Teach, Learn, Share

We like learning new things, so that list could go on forever, but definitely languages and different cultures cooking methods.
Kate can teach how to cook Australian things and some basic cooking skills and sweets, cakes, pastries etc. Nicks good with all things mechanical, renewable energies and lots of stuff about Australian wildlife. We love to take people rock climbing and share this fantastic sport with as many as possible.
