Overview
About Me
I'm Nicolas, I have a dream that I absolutely want to realize: open my hostel somewhere in south east Asia. I completed a world tour in 2016 during 10 months and can't stop travelling since then to feel this freedom again!
I work in a non profit organization where we collect old bicycle or unused, we repair them and giving them to disadvantaged neighborhoods in Montréal or sending them to Africa.
I am mostly a solo traveler but did some trip with my brother, my cousins, my parents and my ex partner.
There is two days in a year when you can't do anything, yesterday and tomorrow. So today is the perfect day to live and to act!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet people!! I want to learn about other cultures, different ways of thinking, share experiences and open my mind everyday (more than it was yesterday). I like to discover cuisine and taste new meals.
More good experiences with new people, would be nice! I've stayed with more than 15 hosts around the world, mainly in Morocco, France, Belgium, India and Türkiye, often without the Couchsurfing app but it always very interesting!
Interests
I have 4 big passions: travel, mountain bike, architecture and music. I like to do all that at the same time. I always want to go again somewhere in the world and discover new things.
- architecture
- traveling
- socializing
- music
- cycling
Music, Movies, and Books
I love classic rock music, mostly 60' to 80'
But I can enjoy every kind of music style as well. A lot of indie rock, folk, dream pop and some deep house.
The books I prefer to read are novels with introspection and self-work.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I slept on a rock in the jordanian desert Wadi Rum, I was alone and naked! I saw the sunset the stars and the sunrise on this rock. Amazing!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to share stories and listen experience from other. I could share my experience in bicycle mechanics. I want to learn about the world! I'm interested to learn new languages even if it's difficult.
I live with this concept: One person's freedom ends where another's begins.
