Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the Couchsurfing world! The closest I came was staying for a week with a host family in Guatemala. I'm excited to join the community.

Interests

My interests shift a lot, but at the moment I'm getting really into sketching (low skill, high enthusiasm). I'm a little bit of a writer, and so I like jotting down the phrases that pop into my head and reading to fuel my thoughts.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty scatter shot - two of my favorite bands at the moment are The Gaslight Anthem and the Head and the Heart. In terms of books, I'm a big fan of The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin and some good non fiction history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing moments I can remember is watching a thunderstorm hanging over Lake Atitlan in Guatemala from the surrounding mountains. I was elevated into the clouds and the lightning seemed to be jumping from mid air in front of me and striking the water below like beautiful bright blue spears.
