ABOUT ME

My name is Nick, I was born and raised in the southern part of the United States in a port town called Charleston. While many of my friends had a common upbringing in the suburbs, I was lucky enough to be born into an amazing family of recent immigrants to the US who encouraged me to travel.

I am very energetic, I love to talk, eat, drink, party, laugh, play music! Anything that celebrates life on the planet without harming others, I will gladly partake in! Right now, I´m sailing all over hopping on and off boats, meeting people and experiencing cultures as I go!

PHILOSOPHY

I don´t know why I live my life - so when I was young, I set off traveling as much as I could to answer this question by seeing how others live. It is becoming clearer that the most amazing experiences have been in searching for an answer, and perhaps not an answer itself!

Good food and happiness would be the same word if I made a language.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I´m at home in Charleston in the summer time, I welcome everyone to come stay with me! I have many friends back home, and life revolves around the ocean in the summer. Fishing, sailing, wakeboarding, swimming, food, parties! It´s the good life! You are welcomed in my home, my family´s home, or many of my friends home as well! It´s all about hospitality and love!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´m new to it, an Australian buddy of mine turned me toward CouchSurfing while sailing! I hope to have many good experiences.

Interests

Fishing, FOOD (I was taught to cook by my grandmother who is the best in the world), sailing, bicycles, hiking, freediving, highfives, bear hugs on shy people, NY pizza pies, philly cheese steaks, WATERMELON ON HOT DAYS. Much more.

BIG LEBOWSKI (greatest comedy of my generation, hands down), Ghostbusters, Lion King (greatest animated film ever, FUCK 3-D and CGI!!!!), Surf Ninjas, Mortal Kombat, Apocalypse Now, Rear Window, Vertigo, all those hilarious slapstick movies by the chinese guy who I can´t remember, anything and everything by Kubrick, Coppola, Scorcese, Coen Brothers, too many more to list!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looked behind our sailboat to see an oil tanker so close that its wave came over our boat. I was tired and forgot to check around us for 15 minutes or so.
