About Me

LIVE, be happy and see as much as I can

Hey, I am just back from the trip of my life. I spent the last 52 months travelling every continents of the world and learning great things. To be completely honest with you, I been back for two years now, but didn't settle in yet. I have been traveling as much as I can since my return. Lately been spending time traveling across Canada, mostly for work, but also enjoy some time off in the UK, Spain, Austria and Germany with mates. I am about to leave again with a mate for a road trip across Holland, Belgium, Germany and Czech Rep. I am also planning on hitting England and Scotland for the New Year.
That said, to this day I have travel to 91 countries. I have a degree in Liberal Arts philosophy that I am not using at all :). I spent the last couple years covering the torch relay (Vancouver 2010, London 2012). I also worked in hotels for way too long. When I came back from Europe, I worked in an high school, coaching basketball full time. I am presently coordinating campaigns and events around the country.
Overall, I am an easy going dude, loving a good pint in a pub, watching football, meeting new people. I love a good history museum or a stupid movie. I tend to surprise….

So what's up for me now?

I am leaving Canada really soon to road trip Europe with a mate for a few weeks. I am also planing a trip in England and Scotland for the New Year.

This is my websites.!/NickSynnott

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Mark Twain

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. St. Augustine

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. Samuel Johnson

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learn about Couch surfing some time ago, but it took me a while to try it. Trying it was the best decision I ever made... The last year of my trip was the best because of it. I have about 175 surfing experience.

We used to live in a small university town where we would only received one or two requests a year, but I am now part-time in Montreal, so will be hosting more, hopefully.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music like everybody I guess. I really never met anyone who hates music. Anyway, I can do with about everything. I love pretty much everything from the 90s. Use to hate electro, but only idiots don't change. Now a huge fan and going to about every big gigs around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I travel the world for 52 months, stepping on every continents doing it.I was part of two Olympics.I ran with the Olympic flame.I am really proud I gave myself the chance to meet all the great people I came across in the last six years...
I was paid to travel and I am now a Hall of famer.
