About Me

LIVE, be happy and see as much as I can

I left for a quick trip in the US and ended up coming back home 7.5 years later. Visited every continent and 91 countries on the way. I have been back home for 4 years now focusing on discovering every corner of North America and doing a few trips back to Europe here and there.
I still fly 200+ times a year and looking for the big adventure. I just do it a little differently. There is still a big trip left in me. I am still in love with travelling as much as I was when I was 17 years old.

Other than that, I am an Irish born Canadian who has two degrees I am not using. I covered 2 Olympics and 1 Pan Am torch relay. I am enjoying life and I am all about experiences and moment you will remember for the rest of your life. Oh yeah, I love a good night out and a pint in a old-school pub.

So what's up for me now?

I don't know! Feel like that question was easier to answer a few years ago. Going back to Ireland, Germany and Holland a few weeks and looking into moving to Florida for a little bit. We shall see, they said!

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Mark Twain

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. St. Augustine

“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are. Samuel Johnson

Not all those who wander are lost!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learn about Couch surfing some time ago, but it took me a while to try it. Trying it was the best decision I ever made... The last year of my trip was the best because of it. I have about 175 surfing experience.

We used to live in a small university town where we would only received one or two requests a year, but I am now part-time in Montreal, so will be hosting more, hopefully.

Have you ever felt like you interested by too many things to do the same job and live the same life for 40 years. It's kind of how I feel. I am a simple guy who loves music, travelling, sports, a good pint and having good people around.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up a fan of 90s music. Lately, I am very big into new country. Again, I love music and would listen to about anything from techno to early 2000 hip hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many little things are amazing, but I was lucky enough to travel for 7+ years and be paid to do so. Visiting 91 countries and run with the Olympic flame twice is pretty damn cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hard question.

I can teach you how to shot a free throw... :)
