Hello :)

I am currently on my first longer bikepacking trip, cycling from Valencia to Gibraltar in order to then cross to Morocco and spend some time exploring the country by hitchhiking.

I am a curious, open hearted and a little bit adventurous budget traveler that is always happy to meet locals and other travelers, share tips and experiences and appreciates a place to sleep a lot!

With my camping equipment I am flexible and usually make up my traveling plans quite spontaneously.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I am a traveler, not a tourist.
To meet the people that make up a country.
Because I want to give back the hospitality I have received around the world when I am home.
To be able to financially afford to travel as much and as far as I have.

Interests

I am always up for doing sports, going on a good hike or starting a spontaneous adventure. On the other hand I am also a fan of cozy board game nights or a talk about philosophical views, ethical ideas or nerdy things. But what I enjoy most is learning something new.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From 2021 to 2024 I circumnavigated the world without using airplanes. On land mostly by hitchhiking, on sea crewing on/hitchhiking sailing yachts.

Teach, Learn, Share

I appreciate it a lot if native speakers of a language I am learning take the time to speak the language with me and especially if they correct my mistakes.
Of course I'd offer the same for German :)
I speak/learn Spanish (good enough for normal conversations)
And started learning Arabic (still at the absolute beginner level)

I can teach you some basic sailing stuff and knots if interested and give some tips on how to hitchhike sailing boats.
Also, always happy to play a round of chess. Further, I would like to improve my (vegetarian/vegan) cooking, learn to dance and much more.
