From my experience travelling solo and backpacking it’s really the people you meet that make a place great. Whether it be locals or other travellers. Loved the social aspect of hostels. I’m a local so sometime life gets hectic but love to meet people passing through Perth, show them around and hear/swap some travel stories. May be able to host but not all the time.
