About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Grow and show a good example to the kids (2010) Get coached and grow my business now that the kids are about Grown (2025) so I can sell it at some point and retire not too late.
ABOUT ME
I am married and father of 4 (They are 26, 23, 20 and 17).
Always looking at the positive side of things which has brought me lots of luck so far.
15 Years ago I created Costume Carbone, a small fashion brand for mens who love cars and racing. It has mostly sold on racing tracks, and since 2013 revenues mostly come from corporate orders, no B2C anymore.
Having a passion for biking (BMX in the 80's and MTB now) and Rock climbing, I now run quite a lot in the woods and do some short/medium trails over the winter. I listen to music a lot, and when time allows love reading, and cooking.
PHILOSOPHY
Make anytime a good time! always be optimistic! the best is to come.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate via sharing my personnal experiences of everything from travel to sport through personnal relationship and growing kids.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Because I experienced it back in 1996 in Vancouver BC!
I invited Steffi from Germany to share the wooden floor (that's all I had aside of my own sleeping bag! ) of my little apparment for a couple of nights. This was really in the spirit of helping and sharing experiences, and we talked for hours and she remained a great friend from then and came to my wedding in '97, and for a short Paris visit at our place 7/8 years ago. I will be in Oslo with my wife next April to visit N°3 son doing a student exchange, and will pay a visit to Steffi and family too for sure.
That was woodenfloorsurfing at the time, long before social networks!
In 2010, I surfed 10 days at Steve Weiner's place in NY while I was pursuing Fashion courses at FIT, great host, great time! I will never be thankfull enough to Steve for his warm welcome.
