I want to overcome the fear of meeting new people, want to make new friendships and I also want to experience something new. I am 28 years old and I can count the city's I've visited easily on one hand. How sad is this? In the German language, something like that is called Torschlusspanik. It means having the fear of missing out on something and I have that fear.

Currently, I am learning to speak English more often. I understand most of the stuff written or said, but I am lost when I have to speak English myself. Please be lenient with me :D (just learned a new word googling it, f*** yeah!). I also want to learn Spanish. I'm at the very beginning, so don't write a whole message in Spanish please.

Oh, and I am the type of person who wants to actually meet and not write, chat or even phone because I don't really like that.

My goal for 2022 is to travel as much as possible, using Workaway, Couchsurfing and TrustedHousesitters. I want to work from anywhere in the world, meeting new people and seeing new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to break out of my comfort zone and meet new people. I am always so shy, but I think that holds me back from really experiencing things I will think and talk about later on in life.

I am also on a tight budget as well - not gonna lie, but I want to make new connections and let people into my life. All the moments I did were the best ones in my life!

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 I have a wide range of different genres I like to listen to but my favorite genre is DRUM AND BASS ❤️ and EDM in general. I also like Rock, Indie, Classic, Disco, Funk, German-Rap... aaaaand so on. The list is endless, but one is for sure: I could not live without music. 📚 I read a lot of self-help books but I switched to fiction again in 2019. I love to read the stories of other (fictional) people and have to think about the fact I also can get that from speaking to strangers. If I wouldn't be so shy... Ah, and my favorite book is "The Girls" by Emma Cline. It's about a cult very similar to Charles Manson in the summer of '69 and a bunch of girls, trapped in the cycle of drugs, sex, and violence.

🎬 As with music, I don't have a particular favorite genre too. One of my favorite directors are Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim, Shaun of the Dead...) and Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Inglourious Basterds...) AND Tommy Wiseau (You know that "Oh, Hi Mark!" Meme?). But there are many, MANY more (Fight Club, Superbad, Deadpool, Shutter Island...) I am also up for cinema and movie nights! "You've gotta pump those numbers up! Those are rookie numbers!"
