Overview
About Me
I don't function without coffee.
I'm a little bit quirky.
Some people talk about shoes & cars; I talk about the moon & stars.
I love a good in-depth conversation about anything; if I don't know about the subject I'll be learning something new or if I do then I get to rap with someone new. Win-Win.
I make a mean lasagne and an even better cheesecake ;)
I was once asked in an interview what my strengths were, one of my answers was my smile, when they said that they didn't think I understood the question, I responded that I didn't think they understood the answer. I was offered the job.
I'm a Vegetarian - the lasagne I mentioned comes in both the meat and veggie variety.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A recent house mate was very pro-CouchSurfing (having been on both the couch and the surfing side of things!) so we opened up our share-house and in doing so met some of the most amazing humans - incredible stories, lots of laughs and loads of love & new friendships...so now I'm trying it out.
I'm moving to Melbourne in mid November and would like to CouchSurf in a few of the towns i've been thinking of moving to so that I can get a feel for the place and to ask you guys for the inside info.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like variety so pretty much anything goes...except really heavy metal
My personal favorite though, is cheesey 80's/90's soft rock - think Def Lepard, Whitesnake, Kenny Loggins, John Parr...I say it up front so that I don't get caught out ;)
I'm not really a Movie watcher - unless it's a rainy day at which point I'll make the effort to have my doona, a hot chocolate and salty popcorn at the ready.
I'll read anything that has been recommended to me; top of my 'to read' list at the moment is probably Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered on a 'Big-5 Game Reserve' in South Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Je suis désolé, je ne comprends pas - an invaluable French sentence
Learn: can you teach me another invaluable French sentence? Alternatively, how to juggle?!
Share: smiles, laughter, hugs.
