About Me

I'm friendly, clean, super easy to get along with and love to meet new people and make new friends! I especially love exploring, adventuring, nature, waterfalls, hikes, beaches and MUFFINS (although any kind of baked goods will do I suppose!)! I’m not super into partying, but definitely enjoy a good boogie and beer. Chilling with live music is more my scene 💁🏻‍♀️

I’m naturally an introvert so am totally fine with giving you your space if you don’t want to chat/hang, but otherwise I’m still pretty sociable and love to get to know people and hang out!

I studied psychology in Australia and currently work in early intervention with little kids with Autism - love it, but taking a break between study to travel this year and do my Masters 2020 to become a psychologist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet great people, make new friends, learn about their lives and experience travelling the world from a local, more personal perspective. Eventually, I would love to also host other couchsurfers/the friends I've made along the way!

I’m new to couchsurfing, but have so far found a much richer experience with travelling and getting to know a culture and location through spending some time with locals! Something that you just miss out on when staying at a hostel.

Interests

Interests include hiking and any outdoor or adventure activities (which is somewhat of a risk considering how uncoordinated I am), I like learning and reading, board games, FOOD OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE FOOD, travelling the world, learning ballet and swing dancing, play piano, bad dancing in my house and singing in the shower.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge book lover! Especially when it comes to fantasy, paranormal romance and chick lit! Classics like Lord of the Rings, to those that are a little less socially acceptable (...Twilight, anyone? eep!).

I also love learning, and reading personal development books along themes of productivity, financial management, goals, leadership, communication, wellbeing etc.

Movies, it's pretty much the same genres, plus action/adventure (noticing a trend here?!). Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, bad Christmas movies, Disney, chick flicks

Music - to provide a small sample, I love old school jazz and swing, rock, some pop (unless it’s 80s, 90s, 00s because then it’s all BALLIN), all the way through to symphonic metal (with a bunch of genres in between!). Sinatra, Buble, The Wombats, Arctic Monkeys, Queen, Post Malone, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kamelot, Nightwish, Greta Van Fleet, Elton John...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 I was fortunate enough to go on a mission trip to the Solomon Islands and got to stay in a local village, learning about their humble way of life and immersing myself in their culture - such a special opportunity that really sparked my interest in experiencing and appreciating different cultures and getting to know people from all walks of life!

Now I’m kicking goals and travelling Europe for a few months!

What I Can Share with Hosts
